Press release -
Business start-up information sessions at Bury Library
Budding entrepreneurs will soon receive greater support from Bury libraries thanks to free one-to-one business start-up sessions.
From Monday 16 June, one-hour sessions will be available from 4-5pm on Monday afternoons and 5-6pm on Wednesday evenings in Bury Library’s IT centre.
Areas covered will include: writing a business plan, finding sources of finance and marketing your business, and others. There will also be guidance on using the COBRA (Complete Business Reference Adviser) database, which is available at all Bury libraries.
Councillor Gill Campbell, cabinet member for children and young people, said: “I’m delighted that the library service is offering these sessions which I’m sure will be invaluable to prospective local businesses.”
For more information on this service, call Gary Phillips, information services librarian, on 0161 253 5054 or email g.a.phillips@bury.gov.uk
