Press release -

Buying tickets for library events online

Bury libraries are to trial using Ticketlight to sell tickets online for events.

The first event is the visit of author Dean Fraser to Whitefield Library on Monday September 19 at 6pm. Tickets are on sale from Monday 15 August.

For more information on the event and access to online tickets, go to https://goo.gl/rMBiVl

Gary Phillips, information services officer, said: “Many of us now buy goods and services online, so we thought we'd offer this service to make it easy for people to quickly book and pay for library events. Tickets can be printed off or displayed on a mobile device when attending an event.”

Please note: where it mentions a ‘booking fee’ on the ticket, this is actually to cover the charge for refreshments.
