If you wanna be the best – take the Record Breakers challenge

Young people are invited to take the Summer Reading Challenge which is being held in all libraries across the borough of Bury.

This year’s Summer Reading Challenge theme is Record Breakers, and the challenge is to borrow and read six books during the long school holidays. All who complete the challenge will receive a membership pack, small prizes and a certificate.

Along with the Reading Agency and Guinness World Records, the library service is attempting to have a record number of people pledging to take part in a Reading Campaign. Children from Chapelfield and Sedgley Park primary schools have already pledged to take part and will hopefully help to make a new Guinness World Record.

Look out for the details at your local library, or go to http://www.bury.gov.uk/index.aspx?articleid=6118 or http://summerreadingchallenge.org.uk/
