Meet Lancashire author Jenn Ashworth at Bury Library
Award-wining modern author Jenn Ashworth will be discussing her latest book at Bury Library on Saturday 14 September at 2pm.
Jenn took part in the 2013 Prestwich Book Festival, and her new novel “The Friday Gospels” delves into the lives of a Lancastrian Mormon family.
Preston-born Jenn studied English at Cambridge and Creative Writing at Manchester and now lectures in Creative Writing at Lancaster University.
Her first novel ‘A Kind of Intimacy’ won the Betty Trask Award in 2010 and her second novel ‘Cold Light’ was published in 2011. She has written several short stories and featured on the BBC’s Culture Show as one of the UK’s 12 best new novelists.
