Wakey wakey – it’s time for Makey Makey!
Creative youngsters are invited to Makey Makey things with computers, strange sounds and even stranger instruments.
A workshop to transformeveryday objects into touchpads is being held at Whitefield Library on Monday 12 September from 4pm to 5.30pm.
For example - using a Makey Makey, computer and alligator clips, bananas can be turned into a keyboard for a virtual piano.
This workshop involves experimenting with fun and messy musical instruments, and everyone is encouraged to be inventive and imaginative.
The workshop is for children aged 8 to 12, and the cost is £4 per child. Booking is essential – call 0161 253 7510.
NB: This session will be messy, so don’t arrive in your best outfit!
Allergy warning - this event uses food products, but these will not be consumed by the children. If you have any concerns, call Whitefield Library.
