A pilot test of a brand new concept is currently in progress, with some of Dalarna's accommodation facilities being certified as Outdoor Qualified by Visit Dalarna. “As a certified Outdoor Qualified accommodation facility, we can create conditions to attract completely new target groups and offer more incentives for the visitor to travel,” says Andreas Hermansson, Outdoor business developer.

Vasaloppet, the ski race between Sälen and Mora, is the world’s biggest long-distance ski race. In 2022, Vasaloppet will be 100 years old and celebrated with a Jubileumsvasa (Jubilee Vasaloppet), a race in tribute to the pioneers that put the first race together in 1922 with 139 participants.
