    Visit Norway are reactivating last year’s campaign success – “Norwegian Space Travel”. A campaign that is all about Norway’s spacious environment, clean air, out-of-this-world views and thrilling activities in wide-spread nature and in our small(ish), but bustling cities.

  • The Norwegian borders are now opening up

    Norway is gradually opening up for more and more travellers. Travellers from a handful European areas with low infection rate and travellers from Denmark with a valid corona certificate are now allowed to enter the country without having to quarantine. More European countries will be added to the list on 5 July. Updates and changes may occur on short notice.

    The National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design in Oslo has announced its opening date, 11 June 2022. As early as this summer, visitors can enter the building for early access guided tours. Norway’s new National Museum will be the largest art museum in the Nordic region. Many areas of Oslo are experiencing major development projects. The most exciting architectural projects are by the fjord.

    Visit Norway has launched a campaign called "Law of Nature" to put focus on responsible travel, safety in the nature and on reducing footprints. The social media campaign is geared towards both international and Norwegian travelers by presenting five funny and educational videos with talking animals, Visit Norway conveys relevant messages and reminders about regulations and recommendations.

    As plans to reopen tourism in Europe start to take shape, Visit Norway, with inputs the Norwegian travel industry, presented their new, ambitious national tourism strategy this week. The strategy was commissioned by the Norwegian government in January 2020, and it has now been handed over to the Minister of Trade and Industry, Iselin Nybø.
