Yanmar America Corporation, a major player in tractors, construction equipment and engines, has announced its sponsorship of the Atlanta Braves Major League Baseball team, the 2021 Major League Baseball World Series Champions. Yanmar will debut as partner of the Braves on April 7th, for Opening Day at Truist Park.

The Yamaoka Scholarship Foundation, established by Yanmar’s founder Magokichi Yamaoka, provides scholarships to disadvantaged youth, while the Yamaoka Hanasaka Academy which was established in 2016, seeks to provide both academic and sporting opportunities. At separate awards ceremonies on June 13 and 14, school students were awarded scholarships to support their studies and sporting ambitions.
16 youths will graduate from Yamaoka Hanasaka Academy with 4 signed as professional football players, including two who will join Cerezo Osaka Football Club, a team in the J-League, Japan’s top football league. Established by Yanmar, Bangkok Glass Group, BG Pathum United and Cerezo Osaka, the academy helps disadvantaged Thai students by providing both academic and sporting opportunities.
