Seafood has been a part of my upbringing and my diet growing up. Norwegian seafood, the world’s best, still has a natural place in my life. The Norwegian Seafood Council does a tremendous job showcasing knowledge and inspiration about tasty, healthy, and sustainable seafood globally and back home in Norway. It was only natural for me to enter this partnership, says Erling Braut Haaland.

One of the UK’s top emerging chef talents and a group of international key food influencers have visited Norway, the seafood nation, on an inspirational study trip organised by the Norwegian Seafood Council. Discovering why origin matters when it comes to sustainable seafood while getting a taste of the fjord to plate journey of the celebrated Norwegian seafood.

Close to 200 leading stakeholders from across the seafood industry united on 27th February for the 2024 Norway-UK Seafood Summit. The event, which is firmly cementing itself as an important date in industry calendars, led with bilateral updates from the Norwegian Minister for Fisheries and Ocean Policy, Cecilie Myrseth, and the UK Minister for Food, Farming and Fisheries, Rt Hon Mark Spencer.

The Norway-UK Seafood Summit, organised by the Norwegian Seafood Council, returned to Fishmonger's Hall, London, on 27 February 2023, following a two-year break due to the pandemic. The Summit drew nearly 200 stakeholders from the seafood sector and related industries, where the two countries reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen and develop seafood trade, with sustainability in mind.

A popular East Yorkshire chippy has been named the winner of the Environment & Sustainability Award at this year’s National Fish & Chip Awards. Whitehead’s Fish & Chips in Hornsea beat off competition from finalists, Hennighans and Sea Queen Fisheries to take the top prize, being awarded for their outstanding commitment to responsible practices and sourcing.

The 2024 Norway-UK Seafood Summit will take place on Tuesday 27th February at Fishmongers’ Hall in London.
