    TAIL Living takes home the win in Formex Design Talents "Best in Show" spring 2025

    Formex Design Talents is the competition for emerging designers who are not yet established, offering them the opportunity to meet the industry and showcase their products to buyers, producers, and the media. From these nominees, one submission is ultimately selected as the winner of 'Best in Show,' and today the winner, TAIL Living, was announced.

    When Formex opens its doors on January 17, sustainability will take up more space than ever before at the fair. The 250 square meter Café Conversation Piece in Hall A is entirely dedicated to sustainability issues and has been created by IMMA – Malin Jensen, Maria Lagerman, and Maria Soxbo – who were behind the exhibition Hållbart? at Formex last autumn.

Formex is making a significant investment in this area and is presenting a brand-new sustainability exhibition this year, created by Malin Jensen, Maria Lagerman, and Maria Soxbo. The exhibition "Hållbart?” explores eight different interpretations of sustainability.

    Seven entries nominated for Formex Sustainability Award

    For the second consecutive year, the Formex Sustainability Award will be presented to honor a product that stands out in terms of sustainability. Exhibiting companies have submitted applications with products this fall and the jury has nominated seven of the entries. All entries will be showcased at Formex in January 2024, where the winner will also be announced.

    Swedish Wood becomes Sustainability Partner for Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair 2021

    Today it was confirmed that industry organization Swedish Wood will be the Sustainability Partner for Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair. This represents a long-term commitment to sustainability for both the fair and Swedish Wood, with a focus on knowledge about using natural materials and recycling to create a more sustainable and circular event.

    Stockholmsmässan is switching fuel and reducing its climate footprint

    Stockholmsmässan is the first Swedish exhibition center to convert its entire fleet of vehicles to run on 100% renewable fuel. Using Triboron technology and filling the tank with vegetable oil will cut fuel consumption by 5%. This in turn will make Stockholmsmässan’s CO2 emissions 45 tonnes lower per year, thus meeting one of the exhibition center's sustainability targets for 2020.
