It’s a match: Eight teams of producers and writers have come together as part of the Nordic NEST and are now working across borders on their film and series treatments. The program by MOIN Film Fund, the German Federal Film Board (FFA) and the Five Nordics is thereby entering the screenplay phase – the three best projects will be announced during the Cannes Film Festival.
CPH:DOX is one of the world’s most important documentary film festivals, where Swedish productions continue to maintain a strong presence. The festival commences today, 11 March and this year a total of ten Swedish films will be screened, four of which will have their world premieres in competition sections.

Tonight, all winners of the 2026 Guldbagge Awards were announced at Cirkus in Stockholm. Tarik Saleh’s Eagles of the Republic, which premiered in the Cannes main competition, was named Best film and emerged as the evening’s biggest winner, taking home six Guldbagge awards in total. Kevlar Soul and Raptures followed with two awards each.

A cycle of films by Swedish master Victor Sjöström will be presented at this year’s edition of the Festival Lumière in Lyon October 11-19, an annual festival dedicated to film heritage organized by the Institute Lumière.
