Aroundtown hat das Objekt in der Themistokleous 11 in Athen fertiggestellt und langfristig vermietet. Den Betrieb übernimmt SmartRental, ein erfahrener Betreiber im Hospitality-Segment. Das Unternehmen führt das Haus mit 43 Zimmern als Akeah Athens City Center. Für Aroundtown ist es der erste Mietvertrag mit SmartRental in Griechenland und zugleich die erste Umwandlung eines Bürogebäudes im Land.

Mit dem Objekt in Athen schließt Aroundtown erneut eine erfolgreiche Transformation eines Bürogebäudes zu einer Hospitality-Nutzung ab. Vergleichbare Umwandlungen hat das Unternehmen bereits in mehreren europäischen Städten umgesetzt. Aroundtown entwickelt Bestandsimmobilien in zentralen Lagen in ganz Europa weiter und ergänzt sie um Nutzungen, die zur Nachfrage vor Ort passen.

Office-to-Hospitality Conversion in Athens: Aroundtown Signs Long-Term Lease with SmartRental

Conversion into 43 rooms in the historic centre of Athens, Greece, completed

Aroundtown has completed the redevelopment of the property at Themistokleous 11 in Athens and let it on a long-term basis. The 43-room property will be operated by SmartRental, an experienced operator in the hospitality segment, who will run it under the name Akeah Athens City Center. For Aroundtown, this is both the first lease with SmartRental in Greece and its first conversion of an office building in the country.

With the property in Athens, Aroundtown has once again completed the successful transformation of an office building into a hospitality use. The company has already delivered comparable conversions in several European cities. Aroundtown develops existing assets in central locations across Europe and adds uses that match local demand.

The commercial and cultural core of the Greek capital is within walking distance, including the University, the Academy of Athens and the National Library, as well as the main retail streets of the city centre. The location is directly served by public transport: Omonia and Panepistimio metro stations are a few minutes' walk away and link the property to the port of Piraeus and Athens International Airport.
