Most pension providers now offer a new and improved loss of earning capacity product. The new product has been developed in response to the public authorities’, in certain cases, non-disbursement for employees participating in a job clarification or resource programme. LONDON (May 4, 2017) – Aon plc (NYSE:AON) today announced it has acquired cut-e a global leader in online talent assessments based in Hamburg, Germany. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Gjensidige Forsikring has acquired Mølholm Forsikring, which has been a part of PFA Pension since 2013. The acquisition is part of the strategy to fulfil Gjensidige’s desire for growth in the healthcare sector. The final approvals need to be granted, but the sale is expected to be finalised during the first half of 2017.
Politicians once again intend to raise the retirement age to make a financial gain and encourage Danes to remain in the labour market longer. A higher retirement does, however, not necessarily prompt us to retire later. Many people have their own private savings or use their company pension savings to finance the first years in the third age.
From an investor perspective, 2016 was a difficult year. A rollercoaster of shocking events with Brexit and Trump winning the US presidential election affected the rates of return. Again and again, markets were struggling to achieve positive returns. For Danish pension providers, the rates of return varied greatly, but they were positive by yearend.
Gjensidige Forsikring har opkøbt Mølholm Forsikring, der siden 2013 har været en del af PFA Pension. Opkøbet sker som en del af Gjensidiges ønske om vækst på sundhedsområdet. Salget mangler de sidste godkendelser, men forventes gennemført i første halvår af marts 2017.
Politikerne vil endnu engang hæve pensionsalderen, for at opnå økonomisk gevinst og få danskerne til at blive længere på arbejdsmarkedet. En højere pensionsalder er dog ikke altid ensbetydende med, at vi vælger at gå senere på pension. Flere har egne opsparinger eller benytter firmapensionsopsparingen til at finansiere de første år i den tredje alder.
Set med investorbriller var 2016 et udfordrende år. Afkastene fik sig et par rutsjebaneture, da året både bød på Brexit og et amerikansk præsidentvalg med Trump som sejrherre. Markederne måtte flere gange kæmpe sig til positive afkast. De kommercielle pensionsselskabers afkast endte som følge heraf meget forskelligt, men alle i plus.
