📚 International Day of Education #EducationDay on 24 January was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly to celebrate education as a human right, a public good and a public responsibility, and its role in building peace, sustainable development and more equitable societies. This year's theme, «The power of youth in co-creating education», highlights that young people are not just learners but active partners in shaping how education works, from classrooms to policy spaces. As future leaders and today’s changemakers, youth perspectives matter in rethinking teaching, learning and what education can be in a rapidly changing world. Across the ICOM network, museums are amplifying youth voices, working with young people to co-create meaningful cultural and educational experiences. The examples shared here are just some of many. Explore more on icom.museum and through the webpages of ICOM’s International and Regional Committees to discover how young people are shaping learning in museums around the world. 🌍✨ @unitednations @unesco @unesco_fr @unesco_es @undp @unyouthaffairs @unescoworldheritage @gemreport #education #internationaleducation #educationforall #museums
