Grand Café opens the door to summer

For the second year in a row, the Grand Hôtel’s new café is opening its sidewalk seating on the quay outside the hotel. Extending a warm welcome to passersby – Stockholmers and tourists alike – the Grand Café offers lighter lunches and desserts straight from the Grand Hotel’s kitchen and patisserie.

The café enjoyed a soft opening back in April when it was open on weekends, and from May 1st it will be open every day from 9am to 7pm. To celebrate the re-opening, the Grand Café staff will be handing out the café’s delicious homemade buns in the nearby area. In exchange for an Instagram photo of the bun, the Grand Café will be giving away coffee tokens, which can be traded for a lovely cup of coffee at the café checkout. In this way, the Grand Café aims to spread the message of its seasonal opening and attract more guests to Strömkajen.

“With this campaign, our aim is entice visitors in a playful and more personal way to the Grand Café, located just around the corner from Kungsträdgården. We wish to spread the spring cheer as well as knowledge that the Grand Café has reopened for the summer. The Grand Hôtel is more than just a hotel. Here, there’s something for everyone to enjoy,” says Filip Odelius, Marketing Manager, Grand Hôtel.

The café, which opened last year, has proved popular both among hotel patrons as well as those who have not previously visited the Grand Hôtel before, but who enjoy the relaxing atmosphere on sunny days, and stunning views of the Royal Palace and passing boats.

The Grand Café is open all summer long:
April: Saturday-Sunday from 10am to 4pm
May to September: Daily from 9am to 7pm
October: Daily from 10am to 4pm.
