Grand Hôtel takes guests on a flavour journey through Swedish nature and artisanship in the Cadier Bar's new cocktail menu

Apple orchards in Österlen, the Northern Lights, fishing huts on the West Coast and the Swedish mountains. Grand Hôtel Stockholm's new cocktail menu, signed by the Cadier Bar, is inspired by everything around us, from our nature to our traditions. This year's cocktail menu - A Tribute to Swedish Nature - pays homage to our Swedish heritage and takes guests on a journey that interweaves Swedish ingredients with international influences.

The 15 handcrafted cocktails in this year's menu represent a broad celebration of Sweden's diverse landscapes and traditions. Inspiration has been drawn from Swedish forests, Gotland rauks and apple orchards in Österlen as well as midsummer night's dreams and the mountains. Browsing through the menu, with accompanying illustrations by artist Jan Vana, is like following a visual and dreamy journey through Sweden. Most of the glasses are also specially designed for the menu in close collaboration with Swedish designers and glassblowers.

"Our cocktail menu is a journey that starts in the heart of Grand Hôtel, from the moment you set foot in the lobby and continues as you sit in the Cadier Bar, open up the menu and browse through the stunning illustrations, until you take that very first sip. Everything has well-selected details, from the atmosphere to the art and the glass to the flavour, to create a memorable experience.", says Anton Windmar, Bar Manager of the Cadier Bar at Grand Hôtel Stockholm.

The menu includes the Aurora Borealis cocktail, an enchanting drink with tongue-numbing ingredients that takes guests on a journey through the chilly dance of the Northern Lights. An ice cube in the blue drink lights up with a green glow, creating a visual presentation that blends with the flavour experience. Another is West Coast, which is a flavour journey to the west coast of Sweden with a beer sorbet that evokes beautiful summer days by the sea.

"A tribute to Swedish nature is a menu that works in all seasons and where Swedish ingredients such as fruits and berries play the main role. We also include Swedish spirit producers, large and small, to honour the Swedish craftsmanship.", says Karl Persson, Food & Beverage Manager, Grand Hôtel Stockholm.

For those who want to explore non-alcoholic options, there are three carefully crafted cocktails that reflect the same innovation and care as the traditional options.

This year's cocktail menu has been developed by the Cadier Bar Bar team headed by Anton Windmar. He has been working at Grand Hôtel Stockholm and the Cadier Bar since October 2021.
