Mathias Dahlgren opens a new restaurant at Grand Hôtel

Stockholm's restaurant scene is getting a new addition. Rutabaga, which has been creating world-class vegetarian dishes since 2017, will continue to grow in new forms outside the Grand Hôtel Stockholm. A new restaurant by Mathias Dahlgren will take over Rutabaga's former premises after the summer.

- We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved with Rutabaga and feel that it is now time to let the concept grow in new ways both in Sweden and abroad. It gives us the opportunity to offer a new unique dining experience that I have dreamed of launching. Something that complements both our portfolio gastronomically and the restaurant scene in the Nordic region, says Mathias Dahlgren.

Rutabaga in its current form will serve its last meal on 13 July. After that, time will be spent to design the new restaurant, which will be housed in the same premises. Work is already underway to create the ambitious restaurant concept, which involves scouting the best ingredients and products, creating the gastronomic profile, and making a series of inspirational journeys.

For the Grand Hôtel, the new restaurant is proof that the hotel continues to be at the international front line of food and drink experiences for hotel guests and visitors.

- It is important for Grand Hôtel to constantly develop our offer with new experiences of the highest possible quality. Since 2017, Rutabaga has been an appreciated food destination for people from all over the world. Now we are ready to work with Mathias and his team to develop a restaurant concept that Stockholm has been missing," says Pia Djupmark, CEO of Grand Hôtel.

Rutabaga will welcome the last guests on 13 July. Bookings can be made via Grand Hôtel's website. The new restaurant concept will be presented during the summer of 2023. No comments will be made before then.
