25 years of Tourest travel fair in Estonia

Haaga-Helia Hospitality Competence Centre in Estonia celebrated the 25 years of Tourest Travel Fair (1991-2016) in Estonia with pitching in in three projects run by the Estonian Travel and Tourism Association, the organizer of the fair.

Haaga-Helia Hospitality Competence Centre in Estonia compiled a newsletter for the Estonian hospitality and tourism sector and industry in Estonian covering the issues related to and submitted by the Estonian Travel and Tourism Association, Estonian Hotel and Restaurant Association, Estonian Convention Bureau, Estonian Spa Association, Estonian Rural Tourism, Association of Estonian Tourism Education, Tallinn City Tourist Office & Convention Bureau and the regional umbrellas of Northern-, Southern- and Western-Estonia. Haaga-Helia Hospitality Competence Centre in Estonia also provided the Estonian Travel and Tourism Association with the concept and manuscript for the roll-ups and slideshow celebrating the 25 years of Tourest fair.

Haaga-Helia Hospitality Competence Centre in Estonia also moderated a seminar on culture tourism, arranged by the Estonian Travel and Tourism Association.

Association of Estonian Tourism Education visits Finland in study mission

Haaga-Helia Hospitality Competence Center in Estonia arranged study visit to Finland for Association of Estonian Tourism Education during October 7–9. HHHCCE also supported the visit by leading the group, done by Maria Velez and Ain Hinsberg. The delegation of 14 visited Haaga-Helia campuses in Porvoo, Pasila and Haaga, Helmi College, Haaga Restaurant School, Haaga-Perho and Edupoli.

HHHCCE celebrated World Tourism Day with Seminar

HHHCCE celebrated the World Tourism Day on September 25th with a seminar “Impact is Imminent” held at EBS. The event was co-arranged with Estonian Travel and Tourism Association and Association of Estonian Tourism Education. About 60 participants representing mostly the public and educational sectors related to hospitality and tourism in Estonia.

Sven Lööndre and Ain Hinsberg were invited by the organizers - Estonian Travel and Tourism Association and Enterprise Estonia/Estonian Tourist Board - to participate at the traditional national tourism conference in Estonia held for the 10th time. This time the event was held in Pärnu on September 17-18 at the newly re-opened Estonia Resort Hotel & Spa conference center.

Latvia's Association of Hotels and Restaurants is introduced to Haaga-Helia plans in Estonia

Ain Hinsberg presented the Haaga-Helia plans to enter the Estonian market to Mrs. Santa Graikste - the Managing Director of the Association of Hotels and Restaurants of Latvia (LVRA). The meeting took place in Riga on July 16. Ain Hinsberg provided an outline of Haaga-Helia and EBS and the planned key operations in Estonia.

Haaga-Helia UAS and EBS have decided that the content format framework of their research, development and innovation cooperation is the economic integration between Estonia and Finland with a closer focus on the Helsinki-Tallinn twin capital region. Among the research topics to be addressed, tourism in the twin capital destination is also targeted.
