Press release -

Bavaria Breaks into Norway´s Top 10 Best Workplaces, Marking a First Among Automotive Companies

In March, Bavaria was listed among Sweden´s Best Workplaces™. The company now further added to its credentials as an employer of choice with a top ten ranking on the Best Workplaces List of Norway. Bavaria and its sister company, Hedin Performance Cars, are the first automotive companies making the prestigious lists in Norway.

Bavaria Norway was certified by Great Place to Work®, the global authority on workplace culture, for the fifth consecutive time in October. In a virtual event today, the company received further recognition of its Next Level-culture, ranking 9th on the list of Medium Organisation category in Norway (250 – 499 employees). Bavaria's sister company, Hedin Performance Cars, ranked #13 among small organisations (50-199 employees). The Best Workplaces list are curated using analysis of employees' confidential responses to the world's largest employee survey, the Trust Index™, and Great Place to Work's assessment of the organisation's processes and culture for creating an environment that attracts and retains talent.

- This incredible recognition underscores what we in Bavaria have always known – that our single greatest differentiator is our people. We are very proud of our value-driven “Next Level”-culture and have been measuring engagement for years. More importantly, we continue to act on the honest feedback from our employees. Together, we strive every day to be surprisingly different, noticeably better. Ranking among the top ten workplaces in Norway is a great testimony of continuous efforts. It is noticeable that our employees truly care about Bavaria, our customers, and their experience of working here. I couldn't be prouder of our incredible and talented employees, who continue to create unique customer experience in an industry undergoing tremendous change, says Hallvard Vikeså, Managing director of Bavaria Norway.

Bavaria has since its inception had a clear focus on building a culture based on solid values. Today, the Norwegian part of the business counts 350 employees working to create the best dealer alternative for discerning car customers wanting to experience both driving and ownership pleasure. The company has experienced expansive growth and has undergone major changes, but has always worked purposefully to continue its strong customer centric culture. The excellent working environment is probably the most important success factor for the company.

Surprisingly Different, Noticeably Better

The automotive industry is undergoing major transformations, and customers are placing higher and higher demands on service and competence. At the same time, Bavaria is witnessing one of the most competitive times for talent the industry has seen.

- We want to have a central position in the development of the customer experience and need to attract and retain the best talent. The award is proof that we are on the right track, and we are honoured and proud to officially be able to say that we are among the very Best Workplaces in both Norway and Sweden! This is a result of our dedication and constant efforts to create a culture of trust based on humility, respect, and honesty. Today we are a company where continuous improvement and innovation defines us. When you give your employees a voice, you come together to navigate challenges and shape your path forward. The top-ten ranking set the benchmark for our surprisingly different, noticeably better future, says Marcus Larsson, CEO of Hedin Automotive.

Culture key to Success

It is proven that organisations putting employee experience at the heart of their business gain their employees’ trust and, in turn, are truly able to build a great workplace culture that delivers outstanding business results. For Bavaria, their commitment to their people is evident in the achievement of certification and making the list.

- Being recognised among Norway´s Best Workplaces 2022 demonstrates Bavaria´s ongoing commitment to improving their culture and putting their people first. It is a validation of the strength of their leadership and their commitment to creating a culture where employees enjoy coming to work and want to do their best. Bavaria as a company is a role model when it comes to the way they work with trust, pride and camaraderie and we hope that others will be inspired to follow suit, commented CEO at Great Place to Work Norway, Jannik Krohn Falck, on the award.

- Our culture determines how we work together, solve challenges, improve our operation, and treat our customers. Our people are excellent at what they do, so our job is to make them work well together, unleash their common potential, and inspire them to be innovative and create unique customer experiences. I would like to extend a big thank-you to our dedicated employees working at our sites across Norway for their ongoing commitment to develop and grow our business. Our strength is engaged and inspired employees who are driven to make our customers happy. Our employees continue to demonstrate the very best of our innovative company culture and ensure unique customer experiences every day, Larsson concludes.
