Press release -

Bavaria Named One of the Best Workplaces in Sweden

In October, Bavaria Sweden was certified by Great Place to Work® for the third consecutive time. In a virtual event this week, the company received further acknowledgement when it was recognised as #14 on the Best Workplaces in Sweden in 2022 on the list of large organisations with 250+ employees.

Great Place to Work® is the global authority on workplace culture and excellence, and the leadership behaviours proven to deliver market-leading revenue and increased innovation. Using a rigorous methodology, the Institute has identified the top organisations among Sweden´s Best Workplaces in 2022. The results are based on a thorough analysis of employees' confidential responses to the world's largest employee survey, the Trust Index™, and Great Place to Work's assessment of the organisation's processes and culture for creating an environment that attracts and retains talent.

- It´s incredibly rewarding to be recognized as one of Sweden´s Best Workplaces. We´re very proud of our value-driven “Next Level”-culture in Bavaria and have been measuring engagement for years. More importantly, we continue to act on the feedback we receive from our employees. Being ranked among the best is a great testimony of our high-trust culture. It is noticeable that our employees truly care about our company, our customers, and their experience of working here, says Johan Frisk, Managing director of Bavaria Sweden.

- After a careful review of Bavaria's results in our employee survey and their initiative to create an excellent workplace culture for all their employees, we recognise Bavaria one of Sweden's Best Workplaces™ 2022. Bavaria as a company is a role model when it comes to the way they work with trust, pride and community and we hope that others will be inspired to follow suit, says Maria Grudén, CEO of Great Place to Work® in Sweden.

Surprisingly Different, Noticeably Better

The automotive industry is undergoing major transformations, and customers are placing higher and higher demands on service and competence. At the same time, Bavaria is witnessing one of the most competitive times for talent the industry has seen.

- We want to have a central position in the development of the customer experience and need to attract and retain the best talent. We aim to be surprisingly different and noticeably better and strive to build an environment where everyone's voices are heard, their contributions are valued, and where our employees bring their best selves and their best ideas to work. Our whole team is proud of making the prestigious list in Sweden, and this is cause for celebration, says Marcus Larsson, CEO of Hedin Automotive.

Culture key to Success

It is proven that organisations putting employee experience at the heart of their business gain their employees’ trust and, in turn, are truly able to build a great workplace culture that delivers outstanding business results. For Bavaria, their commitment to their people is evident in the achievement of certification and making the list.

Bavaria has since its inception had a clear focus on building a culture based on solid core values. Today, the Swedish part of the business counts 300 employees working to create the best dealer alternative for discerning car customers wanting to experience both driving and ownership pleasure. The company has experienced expansive growth and has undergone major changes, but has always worked purposefully to continue the strong “Next Level”- culture. The excellent working environment is probably the most important success factor for the company.

- Our culture determines how we work together, solve challenges, improve our operation, and treat our customers. Our people are excellent at what they do, so our job is to make them work well together, unleash their common potential, and inspire them to be innovative and create unique customer experiences. Our strong culture allows employees to be themselves, have fun at work, explore, experiment, and make mistakes. We must constantly remind ourselves that failure is a fundamental part of learning and development. It is therefore important for us that we show employees trust and care, and that we express gratitude for the work they do, Larsson concludes.

About Sweden's Best Workplaces™

Sweden's Best Workplaces™ is based on a thorough review of the company culture, where the organisation is assessed from two perspectives: the employees' experience of the workplace culture and the organisation's efforts to create a really good workplace. Great Place to Work® uses two methods to evaluate the Best Workplaces in Sweden™. The degree of trust, pride and community is measured in the Trust Index™ employee survey, which consists of 60 statements that employees are asked to rate. A Culture Audit™ asks decision-makers open-ended questions to account for HR and leadership practices and how they create an environment that attracts and retains talent.
