Hedin Automotive is pleased to announce the appointment of Markus Schwingel as the new CEO for the Swiss operations, effective January 1, 2023. Markus Schwingel holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship and brings with him three decades of broad and deep automotive experience.

Markus Schwingel comes from the position as CEO and co-owner Alpina Group, acquired 100% by Hedin Automotive in October 2022. He succeeds Marcus Larsson, who remains CEO for Hedin Mobility Group’s BMW division with operations in Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark in addition to Switzerland. Larsson is also interim Chief Operating Officer of Hedin Mobility Group.

- I am very pleased that Markus has accepted the role of CEO for us in Switzerland. He has the vision and ambition to lead Hedin Automotive Switzerland through the next exciting stages, says Marcus Larsson.

In his new role, Schwingel will leverage his extensive experience to shape and advance all aspects of Hedin Automotive Switzerland to drive and develop the business further.

- It’s an honour to take the baton from Marcus. I am both humbled, proud and excited at the prospect of leading our top power teams under the leadership of our newly formed Country Management. Driven by the Hedin Automotive Next Level-strategy, we will achieve our growth potential as well as creatively shape the transformation in the automotive industry, says Schwingel.

- I look forward to working with old and new colleagues to realise that opportunity, with a collective ambition to strengthen our brand, enhance our customer experience and grow our operations even further, he continues.

New country management
