2023 in review: Pioneering change and expanding horizons at Motosumo

Greetings, Motosumo family! As 2023 has drawn to a close, 2024 is already here, and I’m excited to share our year's journey - a blend of achievements, partnerships, and community spirit.

This time, I want to talk about our journey navigating the fitness landscape and changing our platform - by now offering versatile solutions for both home fitness enthusiasts as well as the broader gym and fitness aggregator market.

Balancing Home Fitness and Gym Markets

Our journey this year was about striking a balance. While we continued to empower our home-fitness users with virtual workouts accessible from anywhere, we rediscovered our roots in gyms and the B2B market and made a strategic and heartfelt return. We reignited our presence in these spaces, transforming gym routines into more interactive and engaging experiences. Our free and versatile platform has been a game-changer, allowing gym members to train with our world-class instructors virtually, or with their own gym instructors, benefiting from all the interactive and social features of Motosumo.

A Unified Approach: Farewell to Momentum, Welcome Enhanced Motosumo

Letting go of the Momentum app – our first specialized digital platform app for gym workouts over the past several years – was a significant step. We embraced transformation, channeling all its strengths and users into our award-winning Motosumo app, crafting a unified, robust platform for all our users.

This move was more than a return; it was a statement about our mission to democratize fitness. We now cater to a hybrid market where gyms can offer our digital solutions to both in-gym members and remote users.

GymPass Partnership: A Strategic Milestone

A standout moment in 2023 was the joint announcement of our global partnership with GymPass, one of the world's leading fitness aggregators. This collaboration represents a significant business and strategy win, positioning Motosumo as the only app providing a digital platform fully focused on indoor cycling with live training data on any bike for millions of GymPass end-users worldwide. This partnership is a testament to our dedication to expanding our reach and enhancing the value we offer to our members.

Cycle for Change: More Than Just Fitness

A pivotal part of our journey this year has been our 'Cycle for Change' campaigns. These initiatives are close to our hearts, as they go beyond fitness to address important causes. By participating in our TrainForTrees, TrainforSeas, and TrainForPink campaigns, our users have stayed fit and contributed to planting trees, cleaning the oceans, and supporting breast cancer research. These campaigns reflect Motosumo's commitment to social and environmental causes, aligning our company DNA with efforts to lead healthier and happier lives while giving back to the planet and society.

CycleMinded Newsletter: Keeping Our Community Connected

In 2023, we unveiled CycleMinded - our very own bi-monthly newsletter catering to cycling enthusiasts and industry insiders. Packed with industry trends, inspiring stories, and Motosumo updates, it's a key resource for anyone passionate about the cycling world. Discover more and join our growing community by subscribing to receive the latest and explore previous editions.

Other New Partnerships and Initiatives

2023 also saw us entering other exciting partnerships. Our collaboration with Spin For Life, a Candian-based event charity organizer, and globally present HotelGyms.com has opened new avenues for us to bring our fitness solutions to a wider audience, catering to both charity event participants and global travelers looking to maintain their fitness shape through curated high-end training experiences while on the go.

Evolving with User Feedback

We’ve also spent time upgrading the Motosumo experience by expanding class types and timings to better accommodate user wishes. Staying committed to our members, we've actively engaged with our community for feedback. This has led to the introduction of new features and an improved class schedule, offering up to 50 weekly live classes to suit diverse lifestyles. We've also reimagined our express classes and optimized class timings to cater to various schedules worldwide.

Looking Forward to 2024

As we enter 2024, we're excited to embrace the ongoing and emerging fitness trends – where digital community-based solutions remain front and center. Our commitment to providing a versatile, accessible fitness solution remains stronger than ever. We're especially thrilled about our upcoming offering of localized language versions of our app, breaking down language barriers and opening new markets.

I want to extend my gratitude to our community for your unwavering support and enthusiasm. Your engagement has been vital to our success this year. Here’s to continuing our journey together in 2024 as we explore new fitness frontiers.

Cheers to health, innovation, and a community that grows stronger together!

Warm regards,

Kresten
