Radonova surpasses 1,500 SPIRIT units sold – reshaping how radon is measured

Radonova Laboratories has reached a new milestone. With more than 1,500 SPIRIT radon loggers sold, the achievement represents not only commercial success but also a clear shift in how radon can be measured and monitored in both workplaces and residential environments.

Since its launch, SPIRIT has helped make continuous radon measurement more accessible and practical. Where traditional methods have often been time-consuming, the device enables more efficient follow-up measurements and shorter measurement periods.

Data-driven radon monitoring in everyday use
A key part of this development is the integration of measurement hardware with digital tools. Radonova’s reporting features allow users to quickly generate documentation in line with established standards. At the same time, integrated dashboards provide clear visualizations of radon levels, making analysis and follow-up easier.

“What has really made a difference is how simple it has become to carry out follow-up measurements and obtain clear results. It saves time and provides a stronger basis for decision-making,” says Johan Olsson, workplace measurement expert at Radonova.

From specialist tool to broader adoption
SPIRIT was initially developed with radon consultants and mitigation companies in mind. The need for flexible tools for follow-up measurements during working hours was significant, particularly as regulatory demands for workplace radon assessments increased.

However, its use has quickly expanded. Today, the device is also used by property companies and larger employers. Its user-friendly design enables a wider range of organizations to carry out measurements efficiently, both in workplace settings and for shorter-term measurements in residential properties.

– We see growing demand for ongoing monitoring of radon levels, both after mitigation efforts and as part of systematic workplace safety management. SPIRIT plays an important role here, says Johan Olsson.

Continuous development moving forward
One of SPIRIT’s core strengths is its flexibility. The device can be used for everything from short-term residential measurements to follow-up monitoring in workplaces. The ability to visualize data via web and mobile platforms also makes it easier to track changes over time.

The development is driven by close interaction between technology and user needs. When SPIRIT was launched, Radonova’s CEO Karl Nilsson emphasized the importance of meeting increasing workplace measurement requirements with more efficient solutions, an ambition that continues to shape ongoing development.

While 1,500 units sold marks a clear milestone, Radonova sees it as part of an ongoing journey. Work continues to further improve both hardware and software, with a focus on making the device even more user-friendly.

“We continue to develop the SPIRIT logger based on how it is used in real-world conditions. Our goal is to make structured radon measurement even easier,” says Johan Olsson.

The continued growth in demand highlights the need for reliable and easy-to-use measurement solutions. With SPIRIT, Radonova has helped make radon monitoring more accessible and practical across a wider range of applications.
