    Let us start by making a confession. We at Open have a love-hate relationship to content marketing. On the one hand, the term bugs us because it's so all encompassing, vague and devoid of strategic emphasis. Content marketing? Come again? At the same time, we love the possibilities that exciting new digital tools and platforms are opening for the world’s storytellers. In a way, we are hooked too.

  • Open and Sandvik create emotional brand experiences targeting the offshore oil and gas industry

    To build awareness about its innovative materials solutions for the offshore oil and gas sector, Sandvik has launched a long-term communications program together with Open Communications, the Stockholm-based strategic brand communications agency. The program, which started in the spring of 2015, has already won several industry awards for its creative approach in this conservative sector.

    Open Communications, the independent brand communications agency, is adding two senior team members and one intern to its team in Stockholm to support growing client needs. The agency says it recently started working with Austrian-based Andritz Separation and several product areas within Sandvik, necessitating an expansion of its strategic and creative resources.

    Trained at Forsbergs and K3 at Malmö Univ, Victor is an up and coming creative who is supporting our senior team. He worked previously at Footcone & Belding, Shackleton Direct, Amsterdam-based Euro RSCG Fuel and Dowell//Stubbs (later Gyro). At Fuel he was involved in 360-degree communications for the Volvo global account, including cutting edge digital and design work. Bienvenido a Open Victor!

  • Open Communications welcomes Thomas "Totte" Kindberg as Senior Graphic Designer

    With 15 years as an award-winning designer under his belt, Totte brings a sharp graphic touch to his work at Open. Previously, he worked at Gyro, a global ideas shop, and an agency called “Det”. Over the years, Totte has worked on a mix of both international and local clients, including SAAB, Toyota, Peugeot, Metso, Adobe, Logica, Landslagets fotbollskola, Scandinavian Masters and more.

  • Eva Westermark joins Open as Senior Account Manager

    A true internationalist at heart, Eva has worked at Ogilvy, Lowe Brindfors, McCann and Ehrenstråhle BBDO. Over the years she has handled multinational accounts ranging from Kraft and Electrolux to Marbodal and Sandvik. While at BBDO, she was was responsible for the global Alfa Laval account and worked for Sandvik and SKF, delivering both traditional and interactive projects. Welcome to Open Eva!

  • Electrolux and Volontaire to share secrets of “experiential marketing” on The Cube project at IAA Sweden event, Open Communications announces.

    To connect more deeply with customers, many international brands are turning to “experiential marketing” – a more holistic way of building likability and creating buzz. One good example is Electrolux, which launched The Cube concept in 17 European capitals – a “pop-up” restaurant to celebrate 90 years in the kitchen.     OPEN was delighted to attend Iggesund Paperboard's recent Stockholm leg of their international design challenge, where top talent from the design world displayed their entries that exploited the unique qualities of Iggesund´s flagship product, Invercote. There was also keen interest in a unique wall calendar designed for Iggesund by OPEN.
