Seafood exports worth NOK 6,7 billion in July
Norway exported 138 000 tonnes of seafood at a value of NOK 6,7 billion in July. Volumes were 4 percent lower, yet the export value increased by 2 percent, or NOK 115 million, compared to July 2016.

Norwegian seafood exports grow by 13% in May
Norway exported 163,000 tonnes of seafood with a value of NOK 7.6 billion in May. The volume was at the same level as May 2016, while export value increased by NOK 888 million or 13 per cent. So far this year, Norway has exported 1.1 million tonnes of seafood worth NOK 39 billion. Export volumes have increased by 3 per cent, while the year-on-year growth in value is NOK 3.2 billion or 9 per cent.

Norwegian seafood exports decline in April, but total export value for 2017 has increased
In April Norway exported 151,000 tonnes of seafood to a value of NOK 6.8 billion. So far this year, Norway has exported 886,000 tonnes of seafood worth NOK 31 billion. Export volumes are at the same level as last year, while the value of Norwegian seafood exports has increased by NOK 2.3 billion or 8 per cent.

New country of origin mark for Norwegian seafood
The Norwegian Seafood Council are today launching a new country of origin mark for Norwegian seafood, “Seafood from Norway”. The new mark guarantees the origins of seafood from Norway and contributes towards a stronger position for Norwegian seafood globally.

Total pelagic exports reach NOK 2.1 billion in Q1 2017
Norway exported 78,000 tonnes of herring and 68,000 tonnes of mackerel with a total value of NOK 1.7 billion in the first quarter. During the same period, Norway exported pelagic fish worth a total of 2.1 billion. While volume decreased by 6 per cent, the value grew by 7 per cent compared with the first period last year.

Strong value growth for Norwegian salmon exports in Q1 2017
Norway exported 233,000 tonnes of salmon for NOK 16.1 billion in the first quarter. There is a volume increase of 3 percent and an increase of 21 percent, or 2.8 billion from the first quarter last year.

Norwegian whitefish exports total NOK 4.2 billion in Q1 2017
Norway exported 129 000 tonnes of cod, saithe, haddock and other groundfish to a value of NOK 4.2 billion in Q1 2017. This is a 5 per cent increase in terms of volume and a 6 per cent increase in value from the same period last year. The biggest increase was for frozen products, particularly frozen whole fish. But there was also a substantial increase in exports of whole clipfish.

Norway has exported 636,000 tonnes of seafood worth NOK 24.1 billion in the first quarter of this year. This is an increase of 13 per cent or 2.7 billion compared with the first quarter last year. Volume fell by 7 per cent.

Norwegian seafood exports grow by 6% in Feb 2017
Norway exported 196,000 tonnes of seafood to a total value of NOK 7.5 billion in February. This represents a volume decrease of 19 per cent and an increase by value of NOK 448 million or 6 per cent compared with February last year.

Lower sales of salmon in Europe
The value of Norwegian salmon exports continues to grow. Sales in January were NOK 1,1 billion higher than in the previous January. However, salmon sales were reduced in Europe.

Salmon and trout exports treble in 3 years – NOK 65 billion in 2016
Norway exported salmon worth NOK 61.4 billion in 2016. This is an increase of 29 per cent, or NOK 13.8 billion compared with 2015, and is the highest export value of salmon ever. Measured by volume, Norway exported 980,000 tonnes of salmon in 2016, which is 5.2 per cent or, 53,340 tonnes less than in 2015.

Increased exports of shellfish in 2016
Norway exported 44,000 tonnes of shellfish worth NOK 1.8 billion in 2016. This is a volume increase of 10 per cent and an increase by value of 21 per cent from 2015.

Norway exported seafood to a value of NOK 91.6 billion in 2016. It is 23 per cent, or NOK 17 billion more than in the previous record year 2015.
