  • Success for this year’s Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair

    The superlatives have been plentiful about this year’s Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, which ended this past weekend. Many have said that it was the best one yet. In total, almost 40,000 visitors made their way to Stockholmsmässan, and the interest of the Fair is growing in all areas.

  • Design bar with a scent of Norrland

    At the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, February 3–7, 2015, the Design Bar will be integrated into a new knowledge area that will also include a stage and an exhibition. The task of creating an overall concept for the area went to designer Mattias Stenberg, who offers visitors the pallette of Norrland’s colors, materials and flavors – with a clearly modern twist.

    Formex, Scandinavia's largest meeting place for interior design, ended this weekend. Over four days, the interior design and gift industry gathered at Stockholmsmässan to place orders for the fall season and view the latest trends.

    The Stockholm International Boat Show opens at Stockholmsmässan on March 1. The dock will be packed with exciting sailboat models – large, small and very new. Everything from the Show's largest boat, the 17-meter-long Beneteau Sense 55 luxury yacht, to the six-meter Fabola 650 day sailer. Among the many interesting new items it may well be the "flying" sailboats that attract the most attention.

  • Soon time for the design event of the year

    Soon we will be in the 6th week of the year, a week that has become synonymous with Stockholm Design Week. Many of the world's best in furniture and lighting will be in Stockholm to check out the latest in Scandinavian design at Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair. With the trade fair at the middle of it all, the entire city buzzes with around 60 events, installations and parties.

  • Vinordic gets a makeover with many new additions

    On May 6–9, 2014 the doors will be open for Vinordic and GastroNord, Northern Europe's largest trade fairs in HoReCa. This year the fairs are packed with new concepts and are focusing on knowledge. The Bocuse d´Or Europe chef championship will be held simultaneously at Stockholmsmässan

    For the tenth year running, a celebrated international designer is creating a lounge at the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair.This year Mr. Oki Sato, Chief Designer and founder of Nendo, has produced an installation that creates the illusion of snow-capped mountain peaks soaring into the sky.This is an instance of the method being as central to the creative process as the visual effect.

  • Gert Wingårdh and Kustaa Saksi interpret communication

    This will be the third year in a row that Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair stages its combined exhibition and talk show Hello!, an initiative by the fair to start a conversation about contemporary and future workplaces. This year’s theme is ‘Communication’ and the task of interpreting the main thematic design will be shared by Swedish architect Gert Wingårdh and Finnish illustrator Kustaa Saksi.

Mr. Oki Sato, founder of the Nendo design studio, has been named as the tenth Guest of Honor at Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair 2013.

  • This fall’s Formex showcases Nordic Charm

    The theme for this fall’s Formex 2012 is Nordic Charm, a tribute to the blond, simple Nordic style of interior design. The exhibition also has a new slot on the calendar, taking place on 16 19 August.
