An American study found that if not addressed, dehydration in older adults is linked to dramatically worse health outcomes, longer hospital stays, and higher readmission rates.

Researchers identified dozens of chemical disinfection byproducts (DBPs) in widely-sold bottled water brands, some never before detected in bottled water. Several of these compounds have been linked in laboratory studies to DNA damage and increased cancer risk.
