Last Tuesday, Umicore Galvanotechnik GmbH honored the best ninth-grade chemistry students from the Schwaebisch Gmuend region for their outstanding achievements. The young people were invited to the company's headquarters in the heart of Gmünd's southern district and received a silver bar, among other things, in recognition of their achievements.

During the exciting tour, they learned more about the 700-year-old wooden beams and enjoyed breathtaking views from the balustrade. The event ended with ice cream in the market square.
Last Thursday, Umicore once again invited residents from the surrounding areas to an information event on site. In a relaxed atmosphere, Managing Director Michael Herkommer took the opportunity to present the company and the projects that have been implemented and are currently underway at the site.

After more than 40 years of loyal service, this well-known and respected expert in the industry is taking his well-deserved retirement. Born in Switzerland, he has made a significant contribution to Umicore's success during his impressive career.
