BREEAM certification and long-term new letting at Aachen Arkaden: the real estate company Aroundtown has leased approximately 1,500 sqm of office space to bobbie Deutschland GmbH, an innovative building materials distributor with a digital platform solution for transparent procurement processes and professional construction site management, at Trierer Straße 1 / Eisenbahnweg 9–11 in Aachen. BREEAM is an internationally recognized assessment system for the environmental and socio-cultural sustainability aspects of buildings. This letting success strengthens Aroundtown’s sustainability-oriented marketing strategy and contributes to the further stabilization of the office segment within the mixed-use property.

Prior to the letting, Aachen Arkaden was certified under BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Methodology). Factors contributing positively to the BREEAM certification included the building’s accessibility, partial installation of LED lighting, and the green roof.

Another reason for the certification is the excellent infrastructural accessibility of Aachen Arkaden: visitors can easily reach all facilities by car, bus, bicycle, train, or on foot. Aachen-Rothe Erde railway station is located directly opposite the property, a bus stop is situated immediately in front of the building, and the site is optimally connected to the regional road network via Trierer Straße. The surrounding area is characterized by office and administrative buildings, leisure facilities, retail outlets, and restaurants.

With the successful BREEAM certification, the building receives further confirmation of its sustainable quality.
