Grand Hôtel Opens Exclusive Champagne Bar

The opening of the Grand Hôtel’s exclusive new champagne bar marks a welcome addition to the Stockholm bar and restaurant scene. At the bar, guests will have the unique opportunity to enjoy an extensive range of prestige cuvées by the glass, including Ruinart Blanc de Blancs, Dom Pérignon and Krug. The champagne bar, launched in collaboration with Ruinart, is opening in autumn 2020.

The Grand Hôtel and renowned Ruinart champagne house have together created a new, unique champagne bar. Here, bon-vivants and connoisseurs can enjoy an extensive range of carefully selected vintage champagnes by the glass or bottle. The Grand Hôtel announced Ruinart as its new house champagne last year and now the collaboration is being taken a step further. The bar’s extensive champagne menu is packed with prominent houses such as Ruinart, Dom Pérignon, Krug, Veuve Clicquot, Moët & Chandon.

“Champagne is the drink that we sell the most of here at the Grand Hôtel and opening a champagne bar for our guests has long been a dream of ours,” says Pia Djupmark, CEO, Grand Hôtel. “So, we are naturally delighted to be making that dream come true in collaboration with Ruinart. Given the challenging times the world is going through right now, it feels particularly exciting to give our guests something to look forward to and a place to get together with loved ones.”

The combination of international ambiance of the Grand Hôtel and the timeless elegance of Ruinart will treat guests to an unforgettable, world-class experience. In addition to a wide range of prestige champagnes, the bar will also serve appetizers specially created to highlight the different champagne characters.

“We are delighted and proud to have the opportunity to realise this exclusive champagne bar together with the Grand Hôtel. Ruinart and the Grand Hôtel are alike in our history-rich heritage filled with elegance and exclusivity,” says Frédéric Panaïotis, Chef de Cave at Ruinart. “We therefore look forward to creating a fantastic experience for all visitors. The Grand Hôtel is a crown jewel in the city centre of Stockholm, making us extra happy to be able to offer Ruinart in the Grand Hôtel’s beautiful bar.”

Being launched in autumn 2020, the champagne bar, a long-term collaboration between the Grand Hôtel and Ruinart, will be open from early morning to late, seven days a week.
