September, the month of the Hospitality Insiders Club in Estonia

The Hospitality Insiders Club Estonia is a selected networking opportunity for managers and experts of the hotel and restaurant business, and a mission based on the similar successful experience in Finland, where the club has been active already for over 2 years.

The idea of the Club is to enable its members to participate in educational seminars organized four times a year, discuss the latest news in hotel and restaurant business, find out the latest trends and operational concepts in the business, peek behind the scenes of the best companies, get new ideas to develop their own organization and network with Estonian and Finnish hospitality experts.

The opening short course of the Haaga-Helia Hospitality Competence Center in Estonia training calendar 2015-2016 has been finished successfully – with very positive feedback from the participants and also the coach enjoying the feeling of accomplishment.

Demand Management for Hospitality Leaders' Course was a Success

​The opening period of the short courses by the Haaga-Helia Hospitality Competence Center in Estonia has been very successful, as the first two courses received very positive feedback from the participants. The coaches also enjoyed the feeling of sharing their know-how with a very eager target group.

Lean Management, a key to success

The Lean Management short course “Lean Management as quality and operations management tool in hospitality” by Jalmari Eklund on February 18th and March 3rd was executed with a great success meaning that the participants, who came to the first day being not aware to the full extent of what Lean is all about, started their second day with great enthusiasm.

Estonian tourism and hospitality key stakeholders visited Haaga-Helia and EBS campuses in Finland

Twenty-two Estonian tourism and hospitality key stakeholders visited Haaga-Helia and EBS campuses on August 25th in order to introduce Haaga-Helia and planned launching activities in Tallinn in the autumn. The pre-launching fam trip included visits to different Haaga-Helia campuses in Helsinki - Pasila and Haaga - and also Porvoo.

Short courses in Hospitality: Haaga-Helia's top experts share their knowledge in Estonia

On October 6th Haaga-Helia Hospitality Competence Center in Estonia opened the delivery of their own short courses, with the first of a 2-day short course in Hospitality Industry Managerial Accounting. It was delivered by the coach Timo Saranpää (M.Sc.(econ.), and assisted by Elisa Aunola and Sven Lööndre. The second day of the course will take place on October 28th.

Estonian Hospitality Insiders Club – Mission Completed!

Haaga-Helia Hospitality Competence Centre in Estonia delivered successfully 4 Hospitality Insiders Club events during the pilot study year 2015/16. The same format has been run in Finland by Haaga-Helia for 3 years now successfully. The events – 1-day per club meeting - brings together managers and experts from the hospitality field from all over Estonia.
