Estonian Hospitality Insiders Club – Mission Completed!

Haaga-Helia Hospitality Insiders Club in Estonia 2015/16 – Mission Completed!

Haaga-Helia Hospitality Competence Center in Estonia delivered successfully 4 Hospitality Insiders Club events during the pilot study year 2015/16. The same format has been run in Finland by Haaga-Helia for 3 years now successfully.

The events – 1-day per club meeting - bringing together managers and experts from hospitality field all over from Estonia were held at different venues and the average number of participants per course was around 15.

Every club meeting had it’s specific hospitality-related topic supported by a case study and coached by the experts from Haaga-Helia UAS(top lecturers and practitioners in the field).

Insiders shared their experience and learned from each others practice, found out how the relevant issues have been solved in Finland and which models could be implemented to the Estonian hospitality operations. And last but not the least - creating a professional networkbrought a long term value that helps to build up the success of your company and personal career.

The insider clubbing in Estonia was kicked off by the topic “How to Motivate the Personnel
to Do Their Best” by the coach Meri Vehkaperä on 23.9 at TallinnHotels Hotel Palace, which also along with the hosting provided the case study presented by GM Kaido Ojaperv.

On 25.11 the club was re-convened at the Restaurant NEH to take a closer look at the innovations and trends in the hospitality business by Pasi Tuominen. Beside NEH the case study presented by Martin Breuer – the owner and manager of both properties – covered also Pädaste Manor.

Teemu Moilanen clubmastered the topic “Service Design in Developing Service Concepts” on February 16 at Tallinn Zoo, which also served as the case study presented by Christina Daous.

The grande finale of the 2015/16 season was arranged literally at the sea – both the Estonian and Finnish clubs met on 19.04 on board of MS Finlandia by Eckerö Line in order to find more out about the change management in operations by Pekka Lampi. The case study of “turning the ship around and sticking to the new course” was provided by the by Eckerö Line GM Taru Keronen.

Haaga-Helia Hospitality Competence Centre in Estonia will continue delivering the Hospitality Insiders Club events, which proved to be successful during the study year 2015-16 on the Estonian market, also the next study year 2016-17.

As the Haaga-Helia activity portfolio for the next study year in Estonia will look different both in fields, span, content and format, we will come back to this issue in May in more detail.

But as a teaser – the first two clubs of the next season are already marked in our calendar at http://www.haaga-helia.ee/hospitality-insiders-club-estonia ...
