Why is Haaga-Helia coming to Estonia?

Haaga-Helia, as the largest provider of hospitality and tourism education Finland and Northern Europe, recognizes the needs and changes in the current and future business environments and has decided to go global, since the further growth opportunities on the domestic market are limited and in its nature, hospitality and tourism education is an international and global discipline.

HH is entering Estonian markets in co-operation with Estonian Business School (EBS). Within this global mission the main goal in this partnership for HH is to be present in Estonian hospitality know-how and education market and for EBS to service the hospitality sector.

The planned key operations are hospitality business trainings (short courses and seminars - Hospitality industry - managerial accounting, Sales, marketing and revenue management, Leadership & HR, Innovation & Service Design, Quality and operations management), supporting degree program delivery at EBS as well as project-based research and development.

Beside these 3 pillars supporting its launching in Estonia HH is also establishing a partnership network, Hospitality Insiders Club, which gathers hospitality managers together and introduces to the latest trends and operational concepts in the business.(See Attached Document at the bottom of the page).

The present focus is on the study year 2015-2016 as the pilot period.

The planned activities are located mainly in EBS main building.

There are 2 persons currently representing HH in Estonia - Project Coordinators Ain Hinsberg and Sven Lööndre. Beside the Estonian HH team in Tallinn, in Finland the mission is supported by Teemu Kokko (President CEO), Jouni Ahonen (Commercial Director, Vice President), Elisa Aunola (Sales Manager) and Maria Velez (Project Management Assistant)

The launching kicks off with the Haaga-Helia Hospitality Know-How Conference on September 9th, 2015.
