Mynewsdesk launches new AI templates for press releases

A few weeks ago, Mynewsdesk launched “Content AI” – a tool that allows users to create auto-generated press releases using AI. Mynewsdesk chose to build ready-made templates, based on the most common topics for press releases, and now releases three new templates, based on data from their customers.

In Content AI, the user can select a template for a press release, enter a few short lines of information, and then automatically get a draft for a press release. In addition to templates for announcing new products or employees, templates for new collaborations, press invitations and that a company has won an award are now also launched.

– We have looked at the type of press releases our users publish and then developed templates for these topics. Our user data shows that many people publish press releases specifically about award ceremonies, press invitations and new collaborations. And to offer our users what they want and need, we are launching three new templates, says Sara Manding, Chief Product Officer at Mynewsdesk.

– The feedback from customers on the first templates has been excellent and many states that the AI technology increases their productivity. Something else that appears is that only around 10% of Mynewsdesk's users previously used AI solutions, such as ChatGPT. To create as low a threshold as possible, when it comes to using AI in its communication work, Mynewsdesk has chosen to work with templates instead of offering an open prompt like in ChatGPT. It's all about helping to guide communicators regarding AI, and making their everyday lives easier, says Sara Manding.

– At Mynewsdesk, we have been working with AI since 2017. Content AI is the fifth part of our tool that is based on AI. What is new, however, is that this AI is apparent to the user. And something that makes their everyday life easier. And I think it's fun that we get to be part of showing people the power of this new buzz that everyone's talking about in a way that's easily accessible and nicely packaged and explicitly based on the needs of communicators and our users.
