We warmly welcome you to the Nordbygg press conference for a presentation of the highlights and themes for the week.
The four-year wait is over - on April 26th we again open the doors to the long-awaited Nordbygg and this year’s most important construction meeting. The entire public construction sector has longed to be able to see industry colleagues again and take part of the news and innovations. Soon it will be reality!
Just a month to go until Nordbygg welcomes the whole industry to this year’s most important construction meeting. The last preparations for the fair are underway and the stage programmes are nearly set. All that is missing are the visitors and the exhibitors.
Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair has decided to cancel the postponed fair in September. The new dates are February 7–11. “We want to unite the design industry and focus on a strong comeback after two years of absence”, says Hanna Nova Beatrice, Project Area Manager, Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair and Stockholm Design Week.

Next spring, Train & Rail, the rail industry’s major new initiative to create an international event, will be held at Stockholm International Fairs. Train & Rail will take place on 25-27 April 2023.

The restrictions have been lifted and noone is happier than we - finally we can meet at the most important construction meeting of the year. Nordbygg invites you to several stages with jam-packed programmes and something for every visitor, but there will be extra focus on tech and the industry’s future development.
The exhibition "Talking to Åke" is currently on at the Sven-Harry Art Museum (Sven-Harrys konstmuseum). The exhibition, curated by Stockholm Design Week's Hanna Nova Beatrice, is a part of design history with the Swedish design icon Åke Axelsson meeting several contemporary Swedish designers.
We can finally start counting down to a new instalment of Nordbygg 2022 this Spring. You can already secure your ticket to the fair, since visitor registration opened up a few days ago. Inspiration, new products, interesting seminars and rewarding meetings are just some of the things that Nordbygg will offer on April 26-29.
Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair’s digital seminar program will run from February 8-10 between 9 am and 12 noon CET. Based on this year’s theme – Being a Game Changer – panels, interviews and presentations will highlight the key issues in design and architecture right now. Moderators include Dezeen’s founder Marcus Fairs and British environmental journalist Katie Treggiden.

In June 2022, Sweden will host Stockholm+50—the global UN environmental meeting. This commemorates the very first UN environmental conference in 1972 in Stockholm, exactly 50 years ago. Stockholm+50 will be held at Stockholmsmässan on June 2–3.
Two concrete outcomes of the Stockholm Conference in 1972 were the establishment of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the designation
