  • Formex showcases Nordic Charm at PUB

    For the first time ever, Formex is treating design-interested members of the public to an exhibition in Stockholm City to coincide with this fall’s trade fair. During the August 16 - 19 2012 Design Days, Formex will be guesting the PUB department store in Stockholm.

  • Kitchen life in focus in The Odd Nest

    The task of designing the new stage and restaurant area at Formex has fallen to design team Oddbirds. The Odd Nest showcases everything from locally sourced produce to contemporary food trends and inspiration. Visitors are also offered a meeting place for thoughts, ideas and high-flying plans here.

  • Höstens Formex hyllar den nordiska charmen

    Under höstens Formex 2012 är temat Nordic Charm, en hyllning till den blonda, enkla nordiska inredningsstilen. Mässan får också en ny tid i kalendern och äger nu rum den 16-19 augusti. – Över 850 utställare visar höstens utbud tillsammans med seminarier, trendspaningar och inspirationsutställningar berättar projektledaren Chicie Lindgren.

  • Unprecedented international interest

    Overseas interest in Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, which ended at the weekend, continues to grow. This year, one in four trade visitors was from overseas and the number of foreign visitors was up 13 % compared with 2011. The exhibition received a total of 38,814 visitors, which is 392 more than last year.

  • The design event of the year for Scandinavian furniture and lighting design

    On 7-11 February it will be time for the 61st Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, the world's largest and most important meeting place for Scandinavian furniture and lighting design. Some 740 exhibitors from 31 countries will gather at Stockholmsmässan to display the latest products within furniture, lighting and textiles for both the home and public environments.

  • Formex kick starts the spring season

    Formex, which marked the start of the season for the Nordic décor and gift industry, drew to a close last weekend. This spring’s fair attracted 876 exhibitors. Interest from abroad continued to grow, with the number of foreign visitors up 7%. The total number of visitors was 25,389.

  • Talk show about future offices with Mark Isitt, Stefan Nilsson and guests

    The Hello Show gives invited guests from widely differing backgrounds and industries the opportunity to debate the notion of the organization and the office as a phenomenon. The talk show is one aspect of the Hello! project, which has been initiated by Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair to promote discussion and provide inspiration regarding the modern workplace.

  • Fusion Walk in Greenhouse

    In Greenhouse, Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair's hall for independent designers and design schools, visitors will encounter fashion and design as part of a Fusion Walk, which serves as both an installation and a catwalk for fashion shows.

  • Winners of the Nova design award to exhibit at Formex

    The inaugural winners of Formex's new Nova design award – Hanna Hedman and Simon Klenell – will feature at the exhibition with a display in the entrance hall. This display is part of the prize, which will be awarded annually in connection with the autumn Formex exhibition. Gallery Pascale in Stockholm will also host an exhibition of the award-winners' work for the general public to view.

    This spring's Formex ushers in the season with inspiration and trends galore. The event, taking place on 19-22 January 2012, will see the launch of the second edition of Formex's own trend guide Formex Future File No. 2. Visitors will also be treated to future visions and the latest in Swedish handicrafts.

  • Under snow cover at Formex

    At Formex, 19-22 January 2012, visitors will be transported to a magical snow-covered world. Formex’s combined inspirational exhibition and restaurant has been designed by Note Design Studio this time.

  • Newly-formed ethical council at Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair 2012

    Stockholmsmässan and TMF (Trä- och Möbelföretagen) have formed an ethical council, No Copy, for the forthcoming Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair on 7-11 February 2012. The Council aims to help ensure a high ethical standard among exhibitors and to counteract the occurrence of unauthorised copies of familiar or distinctive products.

  • Shades of blue in Young Designers Café

    This spring’s Young Designers Café at Formex will be a creative meeting place for shades of blue, designed by Cecilia Dreyfert. This is the eighth successive time a young Swedish designer will be responsible for creating Young Designers Café, which also incorporates the Young Designers, Next Step zone and a stage area.

  • Home – a place for creativity

    A modern flower room, graphic silhouettes with a fifties and sixties mood; Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, 7-11 February 2012, will be showcasing the latest trends in home furnishing and lighting in the inspirational exhibition “My Home is My Castle”.

  • Game provides exhibition inspiration

    At Formex, which runs from 19 to 22 January 2012, a children's game provides the inspiration for the design of this spring's major trend theme exhibition entitled IN THE MOOD. The visitor is invited to enter a modern architectural barn, where the focus is on light, space, feelings and sensuality.

  • Together in the Design Bar

    For the eighth year in a row, a Swedish designer or group will be creating the Design Bar at Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair. This time the commission goes to designer Lina Nordqvist. The focus will be meetings and the basic forms of circles and squares.
