    Arla Foods and the Egypt-based dairy company Juhayna have agreed to form a joint venture which will sell Arla’s products across Egypt. Juhayna Food Industries is Egypt’s leading manufacturer of UHT-milk, yoghurt and juice. However, the company has a very limited production of butter, cheese and cream, which Arla has specialised in across the Middle East and Africa.

    ​Arla Foods amba is holding its milk price through into May 2015. The UK standard litre has increased by 0.03ppl to 25.83ppl, following confirmation of the exchange rate used in the currency smoothing mechanism to convert the milk price for this quarter. This increase has been backdated to 1 April 2015.

Arla Big Milk has been developed to specifically meet the needs of children from ages one to five, made with 100 per cent British whole cows’ milk.

  • Arla Foods amba to increase its April milk price

    Arla Foods amba is raising its on-account price from 30 March by 1.5 eurocents. Sterling has continued to strengthen and April sees a new quarter’s (January to March) average exchange rate being introduced to the pricing mechanism. When the impact of the currency smoothing mechanism is taken into account, this raises the UK standard litre by 0.83 pence, taking it to 25.8 pence.
