London Punks VIRVON VARVON Prep New Release 'FOUR BARS OF HATE' via Girlsville Records

VIRVON VARVON are UK (London) vets featuring members of Black Time, Trash Culture, Candy Highway and The Jazz June. After burning through a few pressings of their debut mini LP MIND CANCER (Girlsville Records), they gigged around London and played Get Lost Fest in Hamburg, Germany. Last September (2023) they played Gonerfest 20 in Memphis, TN (USA) alongside The Gories, Osees and The Mummies. Prior to heading to Gonerfest, VIRVON VARVON hunkered down to record the long-awaited follow-up to MIND CANCER, entitled FOUR BARS OF HATE.

A few of the songs were previewed on a Gonerfest exclusive EP called VOICES, which hinted at the more collaborative effort with Hanne, Andrew, Cunha and Matthew all taking turns on writing and/or vocals. Prior to Gonerfest they’d recorded the album and played a handful of warm up shows including one supporting Mark Sultan in London. By the time they hit Memphis they were firing on all cylinders:
