Spring jazz at World of Volvo – free live jazz on Thursdays in 2026

This spring promises a vibrant season of live jazz as a line-up of outstanding artists take to the stage inside the magical architecture of World of Volvo, at Ceno Brasserie, on selected Thursdays. With free admission and a 18.00 start, an open and welcoming meeting place is created for both devoted jazz enthusiasts and curious newcomers, who can also enjoy Ceno’s specially curated menu.

The programme ranges from heartfelt tributes to Swedish jazz icons to contemporary jazz with personal expressions and international influences. Audiences can look forward to intimate performances as well as high-energy, swinging evenings – always in close interaction with the audience.

Spring jazz programme at World of Volvo:

• 26 February – Alice Babs Tribute
A swinging and affectionate tribute to Alice Babs. A carefully crafted performance filled with musical brilliance, playful energy and timeless elegance.
Artists: Brita Lindgren – vocals. Lars Reinhold Börjesson – violin. Tobias Grim – guitar. Johan Bengtsson – double bass.

• 5 March – David Levinsson Trio
An intimate concert where warmth, presence and exquisite interplay take centre stage. Personal jazz in a unique and atmospheric setting.

• 19 March – Gentleman & Gangsters
Hot jazz with style and attitude. One of Gothenburg’s most elegant jazz bands delivers swing infused with raw gangster energy in an explosive evening full of rhythm, charm and musical finesse.

• 26 March – EMRIK
The Golden Age of the Swedish Jazz Song, Vol. 1. Emrik interprets favourites from the rich treasure trove of Swedish jazz songs with a personal and playful expression.

• 2 April – David Levinsson Trio
Warm, vibrant and intimate jazz. With a personal touch and strong musical interplay, the trio creates an evening to sink into and savour.

• 23 April – Val & Vlad
Val & Vlad are an acoustic duo featuring soulful vocal lines and groove-driven guitar. Their music moves between smooth funk, neo-soul and intimate classics – perfect for late evenings, warm rooms and guests who are happy to linger a little longer.

• 7 May – Svante Thuresson Tribute
A hip and colourful tribute to the unique artistry of Svante Thuresson. Jazz, schlager, soul and cabaret come together in an evening filled with respect, energy and musical joy.

Tickets and practical information
All performances have free admission and start at 18.00 at Ceno Brasserie. Each evening consists of two sets with an interval. No ticket is required to attend the jazz performances.
