Irish consumer spending rises for twelfth month running in February, up +4.4% year-on-year

Visa’s Irish Consumer Spending Index, which measures expenditure across all payment types (cash, cheques and electronic payments), signalled a +4.4% year-on-year expansion in household expenditure in February. The rate of growth was solid, albeit slower than the +5.4% increase seen in January.
