London, UK – 14th August 2012 – Sitecore today announced it has taken a large minority investment in Komfo, a social media marketing platform provider and member of Facebook’s Preferred Marketing Developer Program. Komfo’s platform provides marketers with a more efficient way to create and manage meaningful conversations across Facebook fan pages, without additional team resources.
Sitecore plans to integrate Komfo’s social media marketing platform into its Customer Engagement Platform to give marketers insight and control of the customer experience within Facebook and other social networks similar to what they currently have with Sitecore-managed properties and interaction channels.
In conjunction with Sitecore’s investment, Michael Seifert, Sitecore founder and CEO (pictured), will join Komfo’s board of directors. “We’ve partnered and invested with Komfo to bring the same level of management and control to Facebook and community engagement as we currently deliver for the Web, mobile and offline channels managed within our Customer Engagement Platform,” commented Seifert. “Social engagement is a critical element in orchestrating a successful multichannel marketing strategy. Komfo’s applications and community tools make it easy to scale social initiatives while minimising the time spent trying to manage and maintain conversations within social channels.”
The Komfo Platform helps organisations optimise ROI on Facebook activities with:
- Easy-to-use applications for preferred marketing goals and call-to-actions
- Communications tools to minimise time spend
- Performance dashboard and competitor benchmarking
“We are ready to expand our services to enterprises globally and this becomes a reality by taking in Sitecore as strategic investor,” said Rasmus Møller-Nielsen, co-founder and CEO, Komfo. “The Sitecore partner network and the knowledge that Michael Seifert will bring to our board is a significant value to us. We are excited for the journey ahead.”
Komfo has a strong team of 50 specialists who have worked exclusively on social media marketing over the last 4 years. As a member of Facebook’s Preferred Marketing Developer Program, Komfo has developed a social media marketing platform that helps enterprises scale up social media activities, without increasing costs and time on coding, processes and communication.
