Aroundtown verlängert mit dem MDR rund 6.200 m² im City-Hochhaus in Leipziger Innenstadt
Aroundtown verlängert mit dem Mitteldeutschen Rundfunk (MDR) den bestehenden Mietvertrag über rund 6.200 m² für weitere 5 Jahre im City-Hochhaus in der Leipziger Innenstadt. Der MDR ist die Landesrundfunkanstalt für das Land Sachsen-Anhalt sowie für die Freistaaten Sachsen und Thüringen. Durch aktives Asset Management ist damit die langfristige Vollvermietung des Objektes gewährleistet.
Das City-Hochhaus ist das höchste Gebäude in Leipzig und Sachsen. Es liegt zentral am Augustusplatz 9 in Leipzig, fußläufig zum Leipziger Hauptbahnhof. Mit über 140 m, 34 Etagen sowie seiner charakteristischen Form ist es das weithin bekannte Wahrzeichen der Leipziger Innenstadt. Neben zahlreichen Büros gibt es ein Panorama-Restaurant und eine Aussichtsplattform. Über eine überdachte Brücke ist der Mietbereich des MDR direkt mit dem Leipziger Gewandhaus verbunden. Das Gebäude-Ensemble verfügt über eine sehr gute Infrastruktur und Verkehrsanbindung mit Tram und Bus direkt vor der Tür.

Aroundtown extends approximately 6,200 m² lease with MDR at City-Hochhaus in Leipzig city center
Aroundtown extended the existing lease with Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk (MDR - Central German Broadcasting) for around 6,200 m² for a further 5 years in the City-Hochhaus in Leipzig's city center. MDR is the public broadcaster for the federal states of Thuringia, Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt in Germany. Active asset management thus ensures that the property will be fully leased in the long term.
The City-Hochhaus is the tallest building in Leipzig and Saxony. It is centrally located at Augustusplatz 9 in Leipzig, within walking distance of Leipzig's main train station. With over 140m, 34 floors as well as its characteristic shape, it is the widely known landmark of Leipzig's city center. In addition to numerous offices, there is a panorama restaurant and a viewing platform. The MDR’s rented area is directly connected to the Leipzig Gewandhaus via a covered bridge. The building ensemble has a very good infrastructure and transport connections with streetcar and bus directly in front of the door.
