Aroundtown eröffnet den legendären ehemaligen Wasserturm in der Kölner Innenstadt als Curio Collection by Hilton Ikonenhotel im neuen Stil

Aroundtown hat das "Wasserturm Hotel Cologne" in der Kölner Innenstadt Anfang Dezember als neues Curio Collection by Hilton Hotel im ehemaligen Wasserturm der Stadt eröffnet. Aroundtown nutzte die Schließungszeit und zog die bereits geplanten Renovierungsarbeiten in dem 35 Meter hohen legendären Objekt vor. Dies ermöglichte auch eine schnellere Umsetzung der Renovierungsarbeiten, da diese nicht bei laufendem Hotelbetrieb durchgeführt werden mussten. Durch eine optimierte Bauplanung konnte das Hotelprojekt noch effizienter abgeschlossen und als erstklassiges Hotelprodukt wiedereröffnet werden.

Das Hotel befindet sich in bester Lage in der Kölner Altstadt, unweit des Hauptbahnhofs. Das Wahrzeichen ist ein ikonischer Wasserturm mit einer markanten Backsteinarchitektur und war einst der größte Wasserturm Europas. Das Hotel verfügt über 88 Zimmer und Suiten, einen Fitnessraum, Parkmöglichkeiten, ein Restaurant und eine Eventlocation auf dem Dach, die einen 360-Grad-Panoramablick über die Altstadt bietet. Durch seine Lage in der Altstadt befindet sich das Hotel in unmittelbarer Nähe zu vielen wichtigen Zielen, wie zum Beispiel dem Kölner Dom. Darüber hinaus befindet sich direkt neben dem Hotel in der Kaygasse 2, 50676 Köln, eine U-Bahn-Station und es liegt an einem innerstädtischen Hauptboulevard, der eine gute Anbindung unter anderem an das Kölner Messe- und Handelszentrum bietet. Aroundtown re-opens prime central Cologne’s legendary former water tower as Curio Collection by Hilton iconic hotel in new style

Aroundtown’s "Wasserturm Hotel Cologne" in the prime center of Cologne opened in early December as a new Curio Collection by Hilton hotel in the city's 35-meter-high water tower. Aroundtown utilized the lockdown period and brought forward renovation work that had already been planned. This also enabled the renovation to be implemented faster, as it did not have to be executed during ongoing hotel operations. Through optimized construction planning the hotel project was completed even more efficiently and now re-opened as a first-class hotel product.

The hotel is situated in the prime center of Cologne’s old city, not far from the main train station. The landmark property is an iconic water tower with a striking brick architecture and was once the largest water tower in Europe. The hotel consists of 88 rooms and suites, a gym, parking facilities, restaurant and a roof top event location, providing a 360 degree panoramic view over the old city. Due to its location within the Altstadt (historic city center) the hotel lies close to many prime destinations, such as the Cologne Cathedral. In addition, adjacent to the hotel on Kaygasse 2, 50676 Cologne, is a subway station and it is positioned just off a main inner city boulevard providing good connectivity among others to Cologne’s Exhibition and Trade Centre.
