Hospitality Insiders Club networks professionals

Hospitality Insiders Club Estonia brings together managers and experts from hospitality field all over from Estonia. Insiders gather 4 times a year for one day meetings in different locations. Every meeting has it’s specific hospitality related topic ­ supported by case study and coached by experts from Haaga­-Helia UAS (top lecturers and practitioners in the field).

Insiders share their experience and learn from each others practice. Insiders find out how the relevant issues have been solved in Finland and which models could be implemented to the Estonian hospitality operations. Last but not least ­ creating a professional network brings a long term value that helps to build up the success of your company and personal career.

Two international education houses start co-operation to develop Estonian Hospitality business and know-how

A Successfully Launched Third Short Course by Haaga-Helia, in Estonia

After the first two short courses (October 6th and 28th on the subject of Hospitality Industry Managerial Accounting by the Timo Saranpää and November 5th the course „Demand Management for Hospitality Leaders“ by Jere Talonen the short course delivery continued with the first day of the course “Principles and Practices of Hospitality Revenue Management on November 17th delivered by Nina Niemi.

Haaga-Helia in Estonia Supported Receptionist of the Year 2015 Competition

On the 7th of October „The Receptionist of the Year 2015“ competition was held in Tallinn at Tallinnhotels Hotel Palace. 13 hotels from Tallinn were represented by their best talents in order to reach the highest prize – becoming the best receptionist in Estonia this year.

First Short Course by Haaga-Helia in Estonia Finished Successfully

The opening short course of the Haaga-Helia Hospitality Competence Center in Estonia training calendar 2015-2016 has been finished successfully – with very positive feedback from the participants and also the coach enjoying the feeling of accomplishment.

Demand Management for Hospitality Leaders' Course was a Success

​The opening period of the short courses by the Haaga-Helia Hospitality Competence Center in Estonia has been very successful, as the first two courses received very positive feedback from the participants. Lean Management, a key to success

The Lean Management short course “Lean Management as quality and operations management tool in hospitality” by Jalmari Eklund on February 18th and March 3rd was executed with a great success meaning that the participants, who came to the first day being not aware to the full extent of what Lean is all about, started their second day with great enthusiasm.

Within its global mission Haaga-Helia entered Estonian market last year as Haaga-Helia Hospitality Competence Center in Estonia, in co-operation with Estonian Business School (EBS) and is now considering Latvia as the next option in the Baltic Sea Region.

Estonian tourism and hospitality key stakeholders visited Haaga-Helia and EBS campuses in Finland

Twenty-two Estonian tourism and hospitality key stakeholders visited Haaga-Helia and EBS campuses on August 25th in order to introduce Haaga-Helia and planned launching activities in Tallinn in the autumn. The pre-launching fam trip included visits to different Haaga-Helia campuses in Helsinki - Pasila and Haaga - and also Porvoo.

Hospitality Insiders Club Estonia was succesfully launched

​The Hospitality Insiders Club Estonia was successfully launched on Wednesday 23rd September in the beautiful facilities of Palace Hotell, Tallinn. There were 23 professionals to prove the historical starting moment of a new kind of network of Estonian hospitality managers. The Hospitality Insiders Club's idea is to bring new ideas and tools to club members' daily work as well as share.

Short courses in Hospitality: Haaga-Helia's top experts share their knowledge in Estonia

On October 6th Haaga-Helia Hospitality Competence Center in Estonia opened the delivery of their own short courses, with the first of a 2-day short course in Hospitality Industry Managerial Accounting. It was delivered by the coach Timo Saranpää (M.Sc.(econ.), and assisted by Elisa Aunola and Sven Lööndre. The second day of the course will take place on October 28th.

The Second Hospitality Insiders Club Estonia was Innovative & Trendy

​The second Hospitality Insiders Club Estonia held on November 25th at Restaurant NEH in Tallinn focused on innovation and trends in hospitality industry. The keynote presentation on how trends influence the tourism and hospitality industry was delivered by the expert Dr Pasi Tuominen (Haaga-Helia UAS).

Latvia, next in Haaga-Helia's radar?

​Ain Hinsberg was invited by the ​Latvian Hotel and Restaurant Association to participate on behalf of Haaga-Helia UAS/Haaga-Helia Hospitality Competence Center in Estonia. The event was held on November 17th, at the associations annual conference in Riga. Hinsberg's role was to present Haaga-Helia's activities in Estonia and the options for launching some similar ones in Latvia.
