Motosumo's #TrainForChildren Initiative donates USD 1,500 to the Children's Emergency Fund

The #TrainforChildren campaign, a recent initiative by global digital indoor cycling platform Motosumo, has successfully concluded, bringing together fitness enthusiasts worldwide to support the Children's Emergency Fund via Save the Children Denmark. From February 5-11, 2024, the Motosumo community demonstrated their commitment to making a difference in the lives of children affected by global crises.

A Global Movement for Children's Well-Being

During the campaign week, Motosumo users worldwide pedaled with purpose, reaching over 195,000 collective kilometers and transforming their indoor cycling pedal strokes into a powerful tool for change. The campaign's unique model turned every 100 km ridden collectively in Motosumo classes into a 1 USD donation to the Children's Emergency Fund, demonstrating the powerful connection between physical fitness and philanthropic efforts.

"Once again, we are overwhelmed by the support and dedication of our community. This collective effort highlights the power of coming together for a noble cause and strengthens our commitment to leveraging our digital and social training platform for global good," stated Kresten Juel Jensen, CEO and Co-founder of Motosumo.

Impressive Results and Lasting Impact

The #TrainforChildren campaign hit its initial $1,500 donation goal on February 9, 2024, surpassing expectations by achieving this target two days early, after participants collectively cycled over 150,000 km. As announced, Motosumo will now donate USD$1,500 to the Children's Emergency Fund. A fund that is crucial for providing immediate and effective responses to emergencies worldwide, ensuring that children and their families receive the support they need in times of crisis.

"We are grateful for the donation from Motosumo's campaign, by bringing their community together to support our work and cause. For us, every penny counts and helps us in creating sustainable change for children in need, so we want to send a big thank you to the Motosumo community for contributing." says Nicolai Skjølstrup, Corporate Partnership Manager from Save The Children, Denmark.

Continuing the Cycle for Change

Following the success of campaigns such as #TrainForPink, #TrainForTrees, and #TrainForSeas, the #TrainforChildren initiative further exemplifies Motosumo's dedication to the intersection between fitness and philanthropy. The campaign philosophy is a testament to the company's ongoing effort to foster a community that values health, unity, and social responsibility.

"We are thankful for the support of the #TrainforChildren campaign. We’re already looking forward to our next initiative, where we aspire to connect with more partners and co-sponsors to help create a worldwide impact. We remain committed to creating opportunities for our users to engage in meaningful actions that extend beyond personal fitness goals, making a tangible difference in the world," concluded Jensen.
