Press release -

Motosumo Engages the Global Fitness Community to help Children worldwide with Their #TrainForChildren Campaign.

Copenhagen, 25 January 2024 – During week 6, from February 5-11, 2024 - digital indoor cycling platform Motosumo is proud to announce the launch of their #TrainForChildren campaign, an initiative designed to support The Children's Emergency Fund via Save the Children Denmark. This campaign is set to harness the collective energy and compassion of Motosumo’s global fitness community to positively impact the lives of children worldwide. The Children’s Emergency Fund provides humanitarian support across the globe, expanding the reach of its donors to all crises affecting children and families.

Helping Children Worldwide through Cycling

Active for over a century, 25,000 Save the Children workers in 116 countries champion the rights and interests of children everywhere, with particular emphasis on vulnerable children. They are the first respondents when crisis strikes, and when children are most vulnerable, they strive to do whatever it takes for children and help them transform their lives and the future we share.

"Too many children around the world are suffering, and this is an opportunity for the Motosumo community to come together and make a tangible difference in the lives of children who need our support the most,” CEO and Co-founder of Motosumo, Kresten Juel Jensen, said.

#TrainforChildren: A global community instilling change

With just a stationary bike and the Motosumo app, members of the Motosumo community can contribute to a worthwhile cause by simply riding during the campaign dates. Every 100 km ridden collectively across all classes will convert to a 1 USD donation from Motosumo to the Children's Emergency Fund via Save the Children Denmark, up to 1,500 USD. As with our other #CycleforChange campaigns, all progress and outcomes will be shared on Motosumo’s #TrainForChildren landing page.

Cycle For Change: Demonstrating Community Impact

Cycling to Save the Children for the #TrainForChildren campaign aligns perfectly with Motosumo’s values. Integrity and collaboration are core ideas for us as well as Save the Children, and this initiative reflects our commitment to not just fitness but also to global responsibility,” Kresten continues.

The #TrainForChildren campaign follows the successful impacts of Motosumo’s previous #TrainForPink, #TrainForTrees, and #TrainForSeas. All three campaigns were under the Cycle For Change initiative, reflecting Motosumo’s dedication to harmonizing fitness with meaningful global contributions.

Motosumo will continue to launch new CycleForChange campaigns in the future and is also looking into widening the purposeful campaigns with corporate partners, NGOs, or others who might be interested in using Motosumo’s digital platform to bring people together to train for a purpose and making even bigger impacts. Motosumo has already made such a partnership with Canadian SpinForLife.

So far, Motosumo’s prior CycleForChange campaigns have resulted in the donation of USD 1,173 for breast cancer research, the planting of 1,074 trees, and the removal of 1,538 pounds of ocean trash. “Our community of riders pursues more than personal fitness goals. They come together to train with a purpose and truly value the collective impact we can create through our shared efforts,” Jensen ends.
