Motosumo's #TrainForBrains Initiative donates USD 1,355 to the Mental Health Foundation

The #TrainForBrains campaign, a mental wellness initiative by Motosumo, the global digital indoor cycling platform, recently wrapped up. Running from April 29 to May 3, 2024, as part of Motosumo’s ongoing Cycle For Change series, the campaign continued to unite fitness enthusiasts worldwide to ride for a strong purpose - this time, to support The Mental Health Foundation in the UK.

A Global Community for Mental Health Awareness

Throughout the five campaign days, users of the Motosumo platform from around the world passionately trained for a collective 5,000 hours, cycling a total of 135,509 kilometers. This endeavor not only underscores the therapeutic benefits of physical activity but also translates these efforts into direct support for mental health initiatives. For every 100 km cycled, Motosumo pledged to donate $1; as a result of the campaign, Motosumo will now donate a total of USD 1,355 to The Mental Health Foundation.

"Once again, as part of Cycle for Change, the dedication and enthusiasm of our community has been inspiring. This campaign underscores our commitment to fitness and integrating wellness into every aspect of life. This reinforces our mission to support mental well-being through physical activity," Kresten Juel Jensen, CEO and Co-founder of Motosumo said.

Lasting Impact

The #TrainForBrains campaign has successfully met its objective, raising awareness and fostering engagement around mental health issues, which can sometimes be difficult to discuss. Based on the community achievement Motosumo will donate USD 1,355 to The Mental Health Foundation, an UK based organization dedicated to preventing mental health problems and ensuring thriving communities, particularly for those most at risk.

Thank you to everyone who participated in #TrainForBrains campaign. Movement is proven to be good for your mental health so it is great to see this being promoted by Motosumo", said Fiona Halton, Head of High Value Relationship's at the Mental Health Foundation.

Continuing the Cycle for Change

Following the successes of earlier initiatives such as #TrainForChildren, #TrainForPink, and #TrainForTrees, the #TrainForBrains campaign demonstrates Motosumo's commitment to linking fitness with a global cause to create impact. The campaign's philosophy reflects Motosumo’s mission to cultivate a community that values health, unity, and social responsibility.

"We are thrilled with the outcome of the #TrainForBrains campaign and are eager to launch our next initiative. We want to continue to amplify our global impact. Our platform is about more than personal fitness; it's about creating real-world change," concluded Jensen.
