  • Silva Communicates What Measures Have Been Taken on Defect Orienteering Compasses for the Upcoming Season

    In the spring of 2021, Silva released two new series of orienteering compasses - Arc Jet and Spike Jet. During the summer, problems with air bubbles appeared in the compasses and all sales were stopped. The results from the analyses show that the issues with air bubbles came from irregular plastic parts from a subcontractor. New design, new suppliers and new test routines are now in place.

  • Silva Partner with Cake on the "Electric Bush Bike Anti-Poaching" Project

    The CAKE anti-poaching system, including the specifically engineered Kalk AP off-road bikes and “mobile solar panels-in the field charging power stations”, together with Silva Exceed headlamps, are now on duty in Africa. CAKE, the Swedish electric motorbike manufacturer, have partnered with Silva and successfully delivered the first batch of electric anti-poaching bush bikes with portable light.

    Verdane, the Northern European specialist growth equity investor, has announced its acquisition of Silva. The acquisition was made from Karnell, a Nordic private equity investment firm that has owned Silva since 2011. The new ownership represents an opportunity for Silva to accelerate its growth and digitalization.

  • Silva Signs Partnership with the Norwegian Athletics Association (NFIF)

    Silva is pleased to announce that the Norwegian Athletics Association has chosen Silva as the official supplier of headlamps and running vests. The ambition is to support the athletes within the running sections and to support NFIF in their focus on street running, downhill and ultra-running, obstacle races and track running.
