At Formex, designer Svea Barone has been named “Best in Show” in Design Talents. This is a competition for up-and-coming Swedish and international designers to showcase their products at Formex. Recoma byggskivor (Recoma building panels) won the Nordbygg Gold Medal, the award for this year’s most innovative product for 2022. The panes are completely made up of recycled composite packaging, where only heat and pressure is used in the production process which contributes to a low carbon footprint.

Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair has decided to cancel the postponed fair in September. The new dates are February 7–11. “We want to unite the design industry and focus on a strong comeback after two years of absence”, says Hanna Nova Beatrice, Project Area Manager, Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair and Stockholm Design Week.
