Just a month to go until Nordbygg welcomes the whole industry to this year’s most important construction meeting. The last preparations for the fair are underway and the stage programmes are nearly set. All that is missing are the visitors and the exhibitors.
Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair has decided to cancel the postponed fair in September. The new dates are February 7–11. “We want to unite the design industry and focus on a strong comeback after two years of absence”, says Hanna Nova Beatrice, Project Area Manager, Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair and Stockholm Design Week.

Next spring, Train & Rail, the rail industry’s major new initiative to create an international event, will be held at Stockholm International Fairs. Rail transport and sustainable transport are high on the agenda in Sweden and Europe, and the industry wants to address the need for relevant solutions. The exhibition "Talking to Åke" is currently on at the Sven-Harry Art Museum (Sven-Harrys konstmuseum). The exhibition, curated by Stockholm Design Week's Hanna Nova Beatrice, is a part of design history with the Swedish design icon Åke Axelsson meeting several contemporary Swedish designers.
We can finally start counting down to a new instalment of Nordbygg 2022 this Spring. You can already secure your ticket to the fair, since visitor registration opened up a few days ago. Inspiration, new products, interesting seminars and rewarding meetings are just some of the things that Nordbygg will offer on April 26-29.
Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair’s digital seminar program will run from February 8-10 between 9 am and 12 noon CET. Based on this year’s theme – Being a Game Changer – panels, interviews and presentations will highlight the key issues in design and architecture right now. Moderators include Dezeen’s founder Marcus Fairs and British environmental journalist Katie Treggiden.
